Laurent Masse

Laurent has gained his 20 years financial experience through 4 major jobs.

He first worked as an accountant for a retail family-owned business where he acquired the basics around accounting and around relation with customers and suppliers.

At Compass Group, the world leader in catering and cleaning services, Laurent held several functions (senior accountant, invoicing manager, controlling manager) and ended up after 8 years as finance manager for all the business. In charge of all accounting, financing, controlling and reporting matters, he also developed competences in people management and in projects implementation.

As Controlling Manager for Armonea for 5 years, the Belgian leader in services to seniors, he contributed to the set-up of the department and to the implementation of a state-of-the art reporting regarding 17 entities and 3 business units. Service minded, he worked closely with operations developing practical and appropriate solutions for the business.

As from 2015 Laurent worked as free-lance manager for a variety of clients (CGB, Bpost) and developed competences in entrepreneurial environments.

Laurent finds its balance and get the pressure out through the trail, the paragliding and its family.

Professional experience

2008 - Present

2010 – 2015

As controlling manager for the Belgium leader in elderly services, organised and managed the department and implemented professional reporting solutions including budget and balanced scorecard, contributed to working capital improvements and to audit and integration of acquired houses.

2000 - 2010

Grew from accountant to finance manager of 3 entities managing 15 employees, after setting up and managing the invoicing department, contributed to develop operational reporting for 3 business units and to exit from loss making businesses, also insured proper and adequate administrative and financial processes (IFRS-compliant).

1996 - 1999

As junior accountant, get accustomed to treasury, account payables and receivables management, was in charge of all accounting basics
